Often we hold on to negative emotions such as anger, sadness, guilt, etc. By holding on to them, they keep us focused on past events and we are unable progress many areas of our lives. By letting go of the negative emotions and take the learning's we need from them, through neuro linguistic programming, we will be more resilient to events where these emotions could occur again in the future.
Negative emotions are based on what we learn from past experiences or even on unfounded experiences yet our intentions may seem to state otherwise. For example, we may say, 'tomorrow I am really looking forward to sky diving' yet our true emotions are negative towards such an event. Therefore our intentions are not true to our feelings. By changing our intentions and replacing the negative emotion with a positive anchor point, suddenly the sky diving experience has become enjoyable and therefore our statement of intentions are equal to our emotions.
